Angel was injured two games into the season and only came back to play two others. He caught a bad break. I wouldnt doubt Angel being the MVP had he played a full season.

david mendez gets mvp? yeah ok…
taylor varnadore had 25 goals with 15 assists.
david mendez plays forward and he only had 16 goals with 8 assists. that makes alot of sense

Where are the NBL first and second team selections? Why don’t they post the same time as SCL?

What happened to El Molino’s center mid Miguel Rodriguez and center back Justin Auch? Seems like the coaches forgot their ability keep their under-skilled team in the game. A second team is deserving of these two and at worst an honorable mention.

how can you say that when he had 25 goals? that basically is agreeing with my post if david mendez only had 16. that just shows how many more games mendez got shut down in then taylor. hes a better played hands down.

I think its funny how Analy’s keeper Paul Gresset was not named for 1st team, 2nd team nor honorable mention when Analy, out of every team in the empire, had the least amount of goals scored against them

to elmo, i too would have liked to see miquel and justin listed, easton and others too. actually, more recogiton is due the whole team, given what they they accomplihed this year(often outplaying for some significant potion of the game, just not outscoring, mostly club teams with a mostly nonclub squad) for what its worth, however , if you look at the list the all league weight goes to wining teams, i guess thats how it works.

NO doubt Angel Acevedo from Healdsburg would of gotten MVP if it was’nt for his injury i mean just in the pre season he had 17 assist and 5 goals.. Angel was and will be one of the best player in SCL all his high school career

Agree with the comments about players on teams that finish lower in the
league standings not getting recognition. Gee SVHS had 13 players get
    selected.
That means that 2 of their subs made ‘all league’….

SCL needs to tighten up their selection procedure.
Others leagues seem to select a 1st 11 (or maybe 13) but 18+ on
both the boys and girls sides is diluting.
To those selected – ‘well done’
To those not selected but know you are deserving – Well Done!!!
